
EU and UK regulations state that all food handlers must receive appropriate training in food safety practices relevant to their duties. However, having a good understanding of food safety practices is not only a legal requirement, it is also essential in protecting the health of both consumers and food handlers.
Intended Audience
The Level 2 Award in Food Safety for Manufacturing is a nationally recognised qualification specifically designed for people working, or planning to work, in a food manufacturing environment.
Course Overview
During this 1 day course, Learners will build an understanding of safe food handling practices and the importance of keeping foods safe. Topics covered include: personal responsibility for food safety, importance of personal hygiene, keeping work areas clean and hygienic, and the importance of keeping products safe. Assessment Methods
1 x Theory assessment (Multiple Choice Question Paper) and continuous formative assessment conducted throughout the course.
Successful Learners will receive a Level 2 Award in Food Safety for Manufacturing certificate.
