The QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification, specifically designed for those who are appointed to act as a first aider in their workplace. It is also ideal for people who have a specific responsibility to provide first aid in voluntary and community activities.

All FAW courses will be conducted in the following structure:
- 1 day theory session at home using our on-line portal
- 2 days practical training
We are currently delivering training safely during Lockdown by remote theory knowledge and reduced practical training at the Centre. This will equate to 6 hours remote training and 12 hours classroom training.
Over a 3 day period, Learners will develop their skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of first aid situations, including: assessing an incident, managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, heart attacks, choking, head and spinal injuries, fractures, and anaphylaxis. During this action packed course learners use state of the art real time blood flow manikins, training defibrillators and much more.
6 x Practical assessments, 2 x Theory assessments (Multiple Choice Question Papers) and continuous formative assessment conducted throughout the course.
Successful Learners will receive a QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) certificate (valid for 3 years) paper or e-certificate, example:
Learners take away a comprehensive first aid guide for reference.
Annual refresher training is recommended until re-qualification is required every 3 years.
